Welcome to the web page of StereoQueerEval, the first shared task on Identification of Stereotypes and Hate Speech Targeting the LGBTQIA+ Community at SemEval 2027.
The exponential rise of social media has revolutionized online communication, but it has also intensified the circulation of harmful content, including hate speech, implicit discrimination and deeply rooted stereotypes targeting LGBTQIA+ individuals. Often expressed in linguistically subtle ways, these stereotypes reinforce structural inequalities and harm queer communities worldwide.
The StereoQueerEval shared task advances the state of the art in detecting harmful language targeting LGBTQIA+ people, through a multilingual dataset capturing stereotypes and implicit hate across identities within the queer spectrum.
